At its
May 11, 2006 meeting, the Leadership Greater Washington
(LGW) Class of 2006, elected Horace G. McCormack, to
represent the class as a member of the Board of
Directors for that organization. Mr. McCormack is
President and CEO of HGM Management and Technologies,
Inc. (HGM); a firm providing Management Consulting,
Systems Integration and Training services with its
headquarters in Washington D.C. He is also involved with
the DC Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, and
other local community service organizations.
LGW is a non-profit organization established in 1986 by
a group of recognized leaders, six area Chambers of
Commerce, and three committed organizations: The Greater
Washington Board of Trade, The Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer
Foundation and the Junior-League. Modeling Leadership
Greater Washington after other community leadership
organizations, its founders invested personal and
professional resources to fulfill their vision of an
organization that would foster communication and
cooperation among the area’s established and emerging
leaders.
In his role as a Board member, Mr. McCormack will
represent his class, acting as a liaison to keep each
member connected and involved. He will also act as a
steward and participate in determining the Mission of
Leadership Greater Washington; setting goals that
establish long-term plans for the organization.
According to Horace McCormack:
“It is an honor and privilege for me to be recognized by
my peers in being elected to the Board. Being a part of
LGW has been a great investment in my life and I look
forward to making my contribution to the organization’s
continued growth and development in our region.”
